How does PawCircuit make money?
We earn affiliate commissions when readers buy products through our Amazon Associates links. This does not influence our editorial recommendations — we recommend products we'd buy ourselves, regardless of commission rate. See our full affiliate disclosure for details.
Do you accept sponsored reviews or paid placements?
No, never. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews, or "pay-to-rank" arrangements. Every product in our guides earned its place through independent, hands-on testing. Brands cannot pay to be included or to improve their ranking.
How long do you test each product?
Minimum 30 days, often 60-90 days for flagship products. We test in real households with real pets — not in labs. Every product is used daily across multiple test scenarios before we publish our verdict.
Do you receive free products from brands?
Sometimes. When we do, we disclose it in the review. Receiving a free product does not influence our rating — we apply the same critical standards regardless of how we acquired the product. Many of our reviews are based on products we purchased at retail.
How do I know your reviews are unbiased?
Three ways. First, our editorial policy is public. Second, we publish both pros and cons for every product — no product gets a perfect review. Third, we frequently recommend products from brands we have no affiliate relationship with when they're genuinely better.
Can I suggest a product for you to review?
Yes — contact us with your suggestion. We prioritize products that are highly searched but under-reviewed, and products our readers specifically ask about.
How often do you update your guides?
Every guide is reviewed and updated at least quarterly. When a major new product launches in a category we cover, we test it and update the guide within 30 days.
What's your testing methodology?
Each product is used in a real household with real pets for 30-90 days. We test across multiple scenarios (daily use, edge cases, side-by-side comparisons). For health-related products, our analytics are reviewed by three veterinary professionals. Full details in our editorial policy.
Do your affiliate links affect the price I pay?
No. Amazon Associates links use the same price as a direct visit. You pay the same amount whether or not you use our link — we simply earn a small commission from Amazon's margin, at no cost to you.
What happens if I click an affiliate link and don't buy?
Nothing happens. Amazon's affiliate cookie lasts 24 hours. If you don't buy within 24 hours, we earn nothing. If you buy a different product within 24 hours, we earn a small commission on that product instead.
Are your reviews written by humans or AI?
All reviews are written by humans — specifically, by our editorial team based on hands-on testing. We do not use AI to generate reviews. We may use AI tools for grammar checking and research, but every word of recommendation is human-curated.
